The As 2 Become 3 course gives you crucial information to equip you practically and emotionally for this major transition as you enter parenthood. It also helps you prepare for the changing dynamics between you both complimenting antenatal classes while you are pregnant.

Course topics include:
- A New Chapter - Work, Rest & Play
- Friends, Lovers & Companions - Money & Possessions
- Working as a Team - The Birth Day
- Family Growing Pains - Early Parenting
- Time, Space & Energy - Growing as a Unique Family
The content focuses on the relational, emotional and psychological changes
the couple will go through as opposed to the medical aspects of giving birth and being
pregnant. It compliments and adds to what is offered through hospitals and other forums
like NCT.
There is a focus on new Dads. By the end of the day men are better able to see their
role during the pregnancy and first few months equipping them to be the best father they
can be.
The course is facilitated by a couple who have been together for over 25 years and
have 4 children of their own. Jess is a senior midwife and Bob is qaulified in education
and training. Bob's male perspective offers a an important perspective for the new
dads-to-be.
The workshop is interactive and informal as each couple uses a comprehensive
handbook. The workbook is a toolkit for future reference once the baby is born.
All topics are covered in one day on a Saturday.
The cost is subsidised by over 70%. It is extremely good value for money and is
made available by our generous supporters who believe in the importance of building
strong families for the furture.
Course Details
The course runs bimonthly on a Saturday from 10am to 4pm in West London. The cost for this course is £45 per couple but further subsidised places can be made available to those on benefits. Participants receive a comprehensive course handbook which they use through the day and is a useful resource for future reference.
